DRACULA RETURNS TO DERBY
This event was part of a series of public workshops and events to connect the city with the world’s most famous vampire.

Coat of Hopes comes to TMV
We drank tea and ate soup and then, atop our stage, Barbara brought the magic of the coat to life through the stories of her travels, the people she has invited to wear the coat along the way and the transformative unifying qualities of art, song, courage and of course, HOPE which become evermore vital as we stride towards the landscape of uncertainty, that of climate disaster.

Friday 28th June 2024 marked the 55th year since that night; a night that is remembered annually with the Stonewall Uprising Anniversary. As Pride month technically comes to a close (even though there are still Pride parades globally throughout the year), let's take a look at what happened at Stonewall, why its myth has become so important, and links to further reading to keep learning and finding out more.

WOMENS HISTORY MONTH
At Thrivemind Village, (as an urban organisation largely made up of women) we’ve been diving into an exciting new project; FEMINIST CITY, re-imagining Derby through an intersectional feminist lens, questioning how our city could support a culture-shift in the ways we exist here when patriarchy is fossilised into the bricks and mortar that maps day-to-day life.

A Magical Book Sale
It was a roaring success and we couldn't be more grateful for everyone's kind contributions.

Our Vision for a Kitchen
We have a vision for a kitchen run by the community where carrots are peeled to help our people & planet to heal...

Homecoming
I was asked how it feels to have my pigeon design painted as what will be the first shop-front facade, inner city mural with visibility being high on one of the most photographed streets in Derby...

Grow a community in the garden
A slither of garden, occupied by buddleia and brambles, litter, and on occasion people of the night. Old spray paint projects colour the gravel pebbles. A series of murals and graf tags stretch along the brick wall, from ideas been and gone. But the sun shines here for most of the day and we're here with open minds, ready to start reimagining.
